THE NEOFEMINIST CREATIVE RESIDENCY

the creatives-in-residency program runs

from the 14th of July through 29th of September in 2024.

there a 3 ways to become a resident at CENTRE POMPADOUR

1) by personal invitation (no application)

2) by applying to one of three CP grants (free stay)

3) by applying to the CP residency call (residency fee)

to qualify for the creatives-in-residence program at CENTRE POMPADOUR, you have to be a creative professional or

do research in the fields of art, feminism or gender studies.

or just come and read your favorite feminist books in a reading residency: please apply with your feminist reading list

we accept residencies of

minimum 3 weeks up to maximum 2 months.

for any different periods during the year or a different lenghts of your stay, please submit a special request.

CENTRE POMPADOUR

THE FEES

the residency fee per person and per week (for a room with private bathroom, linens and towels, breakfast monday to friday and 1 weekly vegetarian château dinner included, bikes, shared studio space and transportation to and from the train station in Abbeville) is 600€.

should you wish to travel with a friend and share a room, the residency fee for 2 feminists in one room is 800€ per week (in one room with private bathroom, linens and towels, breakfast monday to friday and 1 weekly vegetarian château dinner included, bikes, shared studio space and transportation to and from the train station in Abbeville).

should you wish to travel with 2 friends and share a room, we can offer the attic loft, with its private bathroom. the residency fee for 3 feminists in the attic loft (linens and towels, breakfast monday to friday and 1 weekly vegetarian château dinner included, bikes, shared studio space and transportation to and from the train station in Abbeville) is 1000€.

please note that availability might change based on dates and length of your stay.

if you should be accepted as a resident at CENTRE POMPADOUR and travel on a stately/private or educational grant, we are happy to provide you with an official acceptance letter if needed.

traveling costs and expenses for working material must be paid by the residents.

HOW TO APPLY

to apply to the program please submit a one page CV / resume that includes all relevant related background as well as one page motivation letter, detailing your reason for applying, any relevant academic or related experience, and maximum one page of your work and/or research interest  or your feminist reading list if you are interested in the reading resicency at the laboratory of neofeminism by email.

be sure to include your desired period and length of stay.

(minimum 3 weeks - maximum 2 months)

your application will be revised by the advisory board of the creative residency which, for the residency season of 2024,  consists of a writer, a curator and two multidisciplinary artists.

all finalists will be interviewed via skype.

please note that there is no special course to follow if not previously announced on our website.

nevertheless we have themed discussion rounds, invite guests from the art world and the feminist univers and appriciate the vivid exchange of feminist ideas of our residents. you are very welcome to do a presentation of your work as well as to participate in the video interview project "my personal feminism".
